Biography

Dr. Husted obtained a Ph.D. in physical chemistry with a focus on nuclear magnetism and quantum mechanics as a possible link to the energy concepts
of traditional medicines. Her research focus was myelin and multiple sclerosis, including postdoctoral studies at UCSF. She was then Director of the
Center for the Study of Neurodegenerative Disorders at UCSB, where she implemented integrative approaches to research of neurodegenerative
disorders, including managing a three-acre medicinal plant garden. She is now board certified in functional medicine and conducts integrative
research through two nonprofits, the Science and Spirit Institute and the Global Institute for Tibetan Medicine.
